This workshop will equip massage therapists with the knowledge and skills to teach patients experiential anatomy and somatic practices for self-care and self-regulation. By cultivating your own felt-sense experience of embodied practices you can effectively articulate them to others. Participants will learn practices for patients with musculoskeletal, physiological, and mental health conditions. Leila will draw on material from her recently published book Experiential Anatomy, Therapeutic Applications of Embodied Movement and Awareness. The focus of this workshop will be therapeutic experiential anatomy for the spine.

This workshop is suitable for manual and movement therapists including RMT’s, physiotherapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, personal trainers and yoga teachers. Participants are advised to wear loose clothing.

Learning objectives:

1. Understand the principles of using experiential anatomy and somatic practices as therapy.
2. Learn how to adapt practices for individualized homecare.
3. Develop skills to teach patients safe, simple and accessible experiential anatomy and somatic practices for self-care.
4. Understand communication strategies for inspiring patient agency, confidence and compliance.
5. Learn safe and effective experiential anatomy homecare practices for the spine and how to incorporate them into clinical practice.

• Courses will be held at Bodhi Tree Teaching Centre in Surrey, BC
• Hours are usually 9:30 am-5:30 pm & will be confirmed prior to course.
• FULL PAYMENT is required for registration
• Your space will ONLY be held once Registration form & payments are received

YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE CONFIRMED UPON RECEIPT of both payment and form submission.

• **You may receive a refund if cancellation is prior to one month in advance of the course
• **A $20 processing fee will be withheld for all refunds.
• **Up to 2 weeks prior to the course fee may be transferrable to another course, space permitting or 50 % refunded.
• **Within the two weeks of the course start date, your space has been reserved for you and no refund or transfer of fee will be given.
• Transfers must be within the same CEC Cycle or for courses already scheduled at the time of transfer.

You will receive any pertinent details for the course approximately one to two weeks prior to its start date.
